Did you know that most homes are under insulated? Give us a call and schedule a FREE inspection of your attic to determine what your attic needs to meet or exceed current building codes. Arizona is among the most laxed states in the country for building codes. As of 2015, the IECC code requires a minimum of an R38 be installed in the attic. However, builders are still allowed to build homes today with merely an R30 because many counties and cities across our state have not yet adopted the new building codes. Even with some builders only being required to install R30, I've seen a lot of new homes with only 5 to 6 inches of insulation, which is about R20 or worse.
